I only go there a few times a year for the concerts. The concert area is very nice with graduated seating so all views are pretty good. Acoustics alot better than other casinos I've been too. The slots are fun ifyou're not an addict. They have good entertainment in the lounge area too. I have stayed in the rooms and they are very clean. No complaints.

Was surprised on the overall size of the casino and how it just pops up in the middle of no where. Staff is very nice and helpful but even they will tell you the casino is tight and nobody hardly ever wins! Hotel rooms are average. We had the executive suite and basically just two hotel room that are adjoining with whirlpool in one corner. Would not be worth the significantly higher rates on the weekends.

This a large attractive casino! Had an excellent meal at the Firekeeper's Restaurant, and it was quite reasonably priced. Area hotels have an attractive casino package with free $5 slot play, free drink, and food discounts, etc. One of the nicer casinos in the Midwest!

We went to Island Casino and Resort, specifically for the golf stay and play package. The golf course is a links style course and during the July 4th holiday, was in excellent shape. The pace of play was good. The pro shop staff were very friendly and cordial, as was the starter. Our room at the resort was very ample in size. The beds were quite comfortable. The stay and play allowed us $5 chits in gambling and also $5 towards meal and also one free drink. We had a breakfast meal that was good and very reasonable.

After reading a few of the other reviews I couldn't help but laugh a little. Knowing I was staying in the middle of no where, I didn't expect much. Apparently others expected the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The hotel and casino are great. The rooms are larger than I expected and its great that they are away from all the action in the casino. I wouldn't bring kids here since there really only is a pool for them as something to do, and you have to walk thru the casino to get there. The staff is very pleasant and always willing to help. Prices for food and drinks are very reasonable too. If you want a great steak or a cheap burger they have both to choose from. If your staying here for a concert, you won't be disappointed. With the venue being so small, there isn't a bad seat. I will be back time and time again for a great stay.
