Description: A tribute to the maritime heritage of beautiful Harbor Springs, Stafford's Pier Restaurant offers true waterfront dining, quite literally, as the Pier Restaurant was built on original pilings over the harbor. The Pier's Pointer Room overlooks the historic yacht basin while offering visitors a superb choice of fine cuisine. A local meeting spot, the Wheelhouse Lounge is open daily for cocktails with a complete menu. Dudley's Deck is without question the most famous outdoor dining spot in northern Michigan and the place to be each and every Fourth of July. Along with spectacular views, the Pier notes an impressive culinary team, lead by Executive Chef Rob Sargent. The Pier is always the center of action in Harbor Springs all year long. And especially when summertime hits, there is probably no more popular nightspot in town.

Very expensive. I think we got them on a bad night. Food wasn;t bad but not great.

We recently ate in the Pointer Room at the Pier. My husband and son both had great meals which were the high points of our experience. Unfortunately, the slow service and my meal were the low points. The great meals were the morel duo (whitefish + beef tenderloin) and the trio special (beef tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce, veal with morel sauce, and lamb with a cherry sauce) - they were absolutely delicious. My chicken in puff pastry with foie gras and a truffle sauce sounded great in concept, but it was very dry and tasted like cardboard. The teeny bits of foie gras and truffle sauce could not cover up for the dry chicken and bland pastry.

I would've sent it back and ordered something else, but we did not receive our meals until 1.5 hrs after we arrived, It appears that the connecting restaurant - The Chart Room was very busy and the kitchen was not staffed to handle all of the orders. There were not more than 6 or 7 tables occupied in our part of the restaurant that was covered by 2 waitresses, but service was painfully slow. Our waitress apologized for the slow kitchen service and had a wonderful attitude, but that still spoiled what should've been a very nice evening.
