“Food was fine; kitchen is SLOW”
Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

My aunt and I took my 5 and 3 year olds to Turkey's for dinner. We ordered a small cheese pizza and two chicken burritos. The food took FOREVER to come out. The kids liked the pizza, and our burritos were good, but it was 30 minutes between when the pizza arrived and when the burritos came. The poor waitress was gracious and attentive, but the kitchen really needs to get their act together.

“Waited an hour for the WRONG food”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We decided to try the pizza here as was recommended by a friend. The service however, needs a lot of work. We ordered 2 calzones. It took nearly an hour for it to come. In that hour the waitress did not bring us silverware or napkins or apologize for (or even make notice of) the long wait. When the food finally did arrive, my husband's order was wrong. Again, no apology. Just an offer to get us another one-- really, like we were going to wait another hour? She claimed it would just be a short time, we said we would take it to go, ate mine (after I went and got us napkins and silverware myself) and then checked to find out, his still wasn't even in the oven. Again, no apology. Not even an offer to buy us a drink. This is ridiculous. I am still amazed a place with this kind of customer service can survive.

“Retro style”

Had the house everything thin crust pizza. Was outstanding. Love the retro decor. Mimosa was great, service was excellent and outside dining was available.

“Local Favorite, always crowded”
Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch and dinner while in Harbor Springs. Obviously a favorite with the locals, the staff was terrific and the down-home atmosphere fun. Wait staff was terrific. Lots of families w kids and fairly noisy-don't come for romantic dinner for 2!!! Sandwiches terrific, pizza just ok, salads fresh and good. By 6:30 on a busy Sunday evening they were out of lemonade, ice, and several entrees but it was a holiday weekend and they were swamped. Still did a great job with excellent humor all around

“Great pizza, terrible service”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

The pizza here is great, but the service is terrible. Not only is it slow, for reasons that you cannot determine because the place only has about 15 tables total, but the wait staff and even the owner are just rude. We walked in and just stood there - no one even spoke to us. We weren't sure if we needed to put our name in or just sit down. When tables started opening up, they sat unbussed for 15-20 minutes until we asked if we could sit there, and then they bussed them. We ordered pizza and a salad and it took 90 minutes from the time we sat down until the time we finished. We were never brought more drinks or the bill - had to go up to the counter to ask for it. $100 for pizza for 8 seems outrageous, especially when you consider the crappy service. If you have time to kill, the pizza is great. Next time I would probably call ahead and just take it to go.
