There are very neat stores at matticks farm but I would have missed them if I had not accidentally ventured at the back. There is not signs from the street that these stores are there.
ThIs is stupid.

Good Morning,

Thank you for your comment on signage opportunities at Mattick's Farm, we have struggled with this issue for some time now, and have also received comments from the neighbourhood where they like to keep the signage to a minimum and not go the commercial route. We are hoping that through social media and community engagement to position Mattick's Farm and continue to address the signage issue.

What a fun little plaza. We literally stumbled upon this place and ended up spending a few hours here. We browsed through the cute shops, played a round of mini golf and enjoyed an ice cream in the gardens. If you are looking for something low-keyed, this could be the place for you.

This is your one-stop attraction! An extensive variety of things to do centred around one of the best golf courses in town - and there's even a fabulous mini-golf for those who like a little more entertainment in their game. Mattick's has a wonderful restaurant which is open to the public and has a decent selection of meals appealing to all. Then there's the shopping . . . many shops with everything from shoes to plants (a full-on nursery) in a scenic centre with wisteria in the arbours and fish in the ponds surrounded with cobblestone walkways. Adrienne's Tea House serves the best coffees and has a huge selection of ice cream flavours and home baking.

The property owners are so aggressive at keeping cyclists off their property, that they frightened my young son.

My son & I cycled along the Lochside trail (rails to trails) to buy an ice-cream and some vegetables from two shops at Matticks Farm (not a farm at all), and enjoy the ice cream on the lawn, but we were accosted in the parking lot as we rode in. This is a multi-building complex, with a grass court yard in the middle, with sidewalks and, a small road connecting the buildings - It is not a shopping mall. The security guard demanded we put our bicycles into a poorly designed, badly located, over-crowded bike stand and walk in. This may be fine for a piece of junk bike, but, delicate-fine tuned, multi-thousand dollar bicycles are not left or thrown in a heap of tangled bicycles. There is plenty of room to take them in along with personal electric cars (souped-up wheel chairs), and manual forklifts that go amongst the building, and lay them safely on the lawn with us. I wonder if they are just as aggressive to people with all the baby joggers. Considering this is along a major cycling route, you'd think they would cater to a major passing market segment.

How they run their real estate complex is their prerogative, but I cannot recommend anybody on a bicycle even consider this as a possible stop or destination.

The variety and consistently high quality of merchandise available at this market makes it one of my favourite haunts - a great destination on a bike ride up the Lochside Trail or a short drive from Victoria. Always well worth a visit - the artisans represented at several stores are world class!
