We took over the whole house with 11 of us. The hostess, Nancy, was very nice and allowed us to enjoy all of our planned activities. Home was beautiful, not far from the beach (a short drive) and near a great little bakery and not far from shops in New Buffalo. Food was more on the gourmet side but delicious with lots of local produce used. Rooms were clean and simple and nice. Each room had its own bathroom which was nice with a group of 11 women.

Room Tip: I stayed in the pear room. Largest room in the B&B (other than the gallery which has 2 beds but...

Superb hospitality! Nancy went out of her way to make us feel welcome and anticipated many of our needs. Lovely touches included evening wine & gourmet hor d'euvres as well as a scrumptious and hearty cooked gourmet breakfast. The accommodation is immaculate, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The house also allows visitors to either meet and socialize in a welcoming common space or to find a niche to relax and be on their own. We would go back in a 'heartbeat'. My only recommendation would be to inform the owner ahead of time if your tastes tends toward the more bland or you prefer traditional breakfast fare as some of the beautifully prepared gourmet offerings were a bit challenging for my palate. That said... the 'dutch baby' was amazing - a visual and taste sensation!

Room Tip: The pear room seems to be the coolest in hot weather. The larger gallery room gets sun all day from...

Spent a wonderful night at this lovely B&B. The place is charming and imaculate. Wonderful beds.
Nancy is warm and inviting. Delicious breakfast and the best coffee cake ever!
Only negative is that it is not on the water, but it's a mile down the road. We will return.

My parents and I stayed here and we will return. What a lovely place with super nice surroundings. The rooms are clean with a TV and bathroom in every room. Nancy is wonderful and we loved the appetizers and breakfast she prepared. If you need a quiet get away to a nice Michigan town, here it is. We loved the short drive/walk to the beach with nice restaurants for lunch or dinner.

We had a wonderful experience at the Harbert House. Our hostess Nancy was full of information regarding local restaurants and wineries. The common room boasted a wonderful fireplace which we took advantage of after our day out on the wine trail. David the "resident pianist" was a wonderful accompanist to our impromptu sing-a-long. The inn lends to a very relax atmosphere.

We very much enjoyed our time at the Harbert House....no complaints. Welcoming, attentive hostess, Nancy made us feel at home and pampered with gourmet food, fun choice of rooms and large areas in which to relax. How could anyone ever stay at a hotel when there are such pleasurable B&B's to visit in Harbor Country offering many exceptional amenities?! Joy J. and Hubbie From Florida

Room Tip: Warm colors, each a different theme, fun to chose your fav.

Harbert House was a perfect location for our bike riding through the resplendent fall colors of the dune country of Michigan. But the beautiful decor of my bedroom was the highlight of my visit. I had the Pear Room that held a dozen glass and ceramic pears from our hostess's own collection, and beautiful subtle colors throughout the private bathroom. The menu for breakfast could have come from a 5-star hotel with freshly baked sweet cakes, fluffy eggs with avocado, garden squash filled with homemade sausage and herbs from the local farms. This is my second year of visits to Harbert House. Our reservations are already made for next year.

Room Tip: All rooms have new comfortable beds. The decors are created from the hostess's collections and...
