The Quincy Mine tour was enjoyable. This tour consists of two parts, one in the main building which is led by a quide. Our guide was an older gentleman with a very quiet voice so it was hard to hear him at any given time. The second half of the tour is actually going down into the mine. This is mostly by vehicles. One takes you down the hill and another takes you into the mine so there is very little walking on this tour. Some of the other mine tours offer more of a walking experience. Large gift shop. Beautiful views.

Our group of 18 enjoyed this tour. Very educational for all ages. We all enjoyed the hard hats and jackets. One of the great memories of our U. P. adventures.

Whole family really enjoyed this. Actually go underground into the mine, lots of interesting info. Guides are knowledgeable. Makes you glad you are not a miner. Good stuff.

It's neat to go underground, but it is a pretty short tour and you only go to one small area. It is neat, and there are lots of old ruins outside to peek at

We took a tour through Quincy Mine in Hancock much to our delight! Our tour guide escorted us through the extractor process and showed us remnants of the dormant copper mine. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.

Then we donned heavy jackets (you need this) and hard hats for our trip to the 7th level of the copper mine. Our driver and guide were knowledgeable, funny, and made the trip delightful. It was well worth the cost of the tour which certainly was not excessive at all. The gift shop had some interesting rocks and minerals including copper pieces. I only wish items marked "made in China or Taiwan" were not in a shop like this. i believe there is enough available locally or in the US to sell in a shop like this.

How did we find this mine? AAA and PureMichigan websites. We love visiting new places and were not disappointed in the Quincy Mine!
