“A Cozy Space”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Basic polish fare in the "comfort food" category, not gourmet and not meant to be. What's special is the cozy atmmospher of twinkling lights, tables jammed with happy guests chatting, and the packed lines waiting to get in. Even if you know absolutely no one it feels as though "Everyone knows your name." It happily encompasses young families, the young and hip, and gray but grateful ones. I go to be happy and have comforting foods at very low prices. My rating reflects my pleasure in going there not an objective ratin gof the food.

“Put PVC on Your Detriot List”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

On our way in some said, "You come for the beet soup, you stay for the cabbage rolls." That's true. But really, everything made us stay. Great Polish eats. We would definitely go back!
PS. Delores was a superb waitress. Hilarious and helpful. Request her and tip her well.

“A little bit of Europe!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This place has so much character I've been many times. The food is out of this world and the atmosphere is just like being in a resturant in Poland.

“Don't Miss This One!”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

If you're ever in Hamtramck, make sure you stop here. As others have reviewed, it is always busy but the food is definitely worth the wait. The Polish Plate is one of my favorites. The strolling musicians are quite entertaining when you engage them. The place is small and so it feels like Busia's!! I love it!
