This was our second visit. First was mediocre, but it was busy and the place was fairly new. We decided to give it another try, but will not be back. Burgers are their claim to fame and out of the four of us, three were so overcooked that we would have sent them back if we hadn't been in a time crunch for making theater. It's all well and good that they offer many items to pile on your burger, but when the burgers are well done and dry, nothing will salvage them! Our fries were soggy. Burgers are thin and the double burger is standard. They should take a lesson from Culver's. The train is entertaining for kids and there are brews, but there was nothing to really entice me back there when there are other options close by in Grandville. It's a chain now, but even when travelling, I'd look elsewhere.

This was our first time visiting a Bagger Daves restaurant. Their burger selection is pretty good and even include turkey burgers if you want to eat healthier. On each table are forms customers can fill out if they want to "build" their own burger and write down exactly what toppings go on it.

One of the first things I noticed is that they charge extra for everything ala carte. Fries are not included with the burgers and must be ordered separately. Even a tiny serving of dipping sauce like the ranch we ordered was an extra 50 cents. We didnt have to worry about listening to other people seated near us. The radio inside the restaurant was loud, and the model train that circles around a track is also loud when it passes overhead.

I ordered a bbq bacon cheeseburger and it was good. But the fries were nothing really special. Our server told us the burgers are two patties which are 1/2 pound together. You can order just one patty and save 1 dollar on the price. Most people will probably just stick with two patties. My bbq bacon cheeseburger with fries and water to drink was $9.68.

This place is comparable to Red Robin which is about 1 mile down the road in front of the Rivertown Crossings Mall. For $8.99 at Red Robin I can get a 1/2 lb burger which includes unlimited steak fries and unlimited dipping sauces. I like their steak fries better plus I dont feel like Im being nickel and dimed for everything like at Bagger Daves.

Will we go back to Bagger Daves ? Probably not since Red Robin has better fries and dipping sauces which are unlimited.

Our server was very nice and polite, but the food was way over priced. I ordered chili, and they charge extra for sour cream, and small sprinkle of cheese. Everything they serve, they charge extra for toppings, that most restraurants include with the entree. I paid 12.50, for a bowl of chili, and a beer. I could have gone to Logan's for a full dinner off their 7.99 menu, with rolls, and peanuts, and a beer for the same amount!!

We waited about a half hour to get a table, another 15 minutes for beers, and probably another half hour once our order was placed. Luckily there was a good game on the tv for the husband and the kids both had their Ipods. We all ordered burgers, some off of the menu and some were "build your own." They do not come with any fries or chips so we ordered the "mixed" fries - half regular fries and half sweet potato fries. 7:00 on a Friday night and they had run out of sweet potatoes. So we just got two orders of regular fries. They were very good and the tables had malt vinegar to top them with. (yum.) All four of us loved our burgers. Some of the best we have had. They all got eaten, (which wasn't hard to do after the long wait and the fact that they came with nothing but a pickle.) No doggie bags after this visit.

This one wasn't any better than the other one in GR. Save your money and go to McDonalds or BK which taste better.
