This Courtyard is in excellent condition. The rooms and common areas sport Marriott's new modern look for Courtyards. While I'm notba big fan of Courtyards common areas stylings, this one is OK. The rooms however are large, comfortable, have a great bed, and large work area. Internet works well and the rooms have a large flat screen TV. Bathrooms are also large and modem.

Location: a block from Van Andel arena, and right across from The BOB. A slightly longer walk for other downtown attractions.

We only spent one night here, but would come back again. Our only complaint, concerns what I dislike with all Courtyard's - the restaurant. The current design Marriott employs at remodeled Courtyards distances staff from custimers, and creates a negative customer service experience. Marriott could take a lesson from Hilton Garden Inn property to improve in this area.

Great hotel in the heart of Grand Rapids. The outdoor basketball, jogging track, and tennis court on top of the parking garage was a blast! The front desk has all the equipment to borrow. Rooms are very clean, lobby was new, the only Courtyard I have stayed where people hung out in the lobby and visited. Front desk upon check in made sure we felt welcome, they was great, we asked about places to eat and they was always helpful.

Came into town for a friend's wedding and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel shares grounds with a condo and apartment complex so parking was a bit tight on the weekend and difficult to find at first-especially coming in at night. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and the hotel had a contemporary art deco look/feel. The room was average size-had 2 double beds which were okay but not extremely comfortable. Had a great LCD TV and small refrigerator and nice desk area. Wi-fi was free which was a nice treat- and it worked well.

My husband and I were attending a conference at the Amway Grand and DeVos Convention Center and opted to stay at the Courtyard, which was the overflow hotel for our convention. The Courtyard offered some complimentary amenities, which were not offered at the Amway - free Wi-Fi and complimentary use of the health club. We also are Marrriott rewards members so we were able to use points on one of our 6 nights stay.

The hotel has been completely refurbished. Our room was a little small, but very adequate and nicely furnished. Every room has a refrigerator, which was great to have for our extended stay. We also requested a microwave, which we were given at no charge. The only issue we had was a weak wireless signal at times, but it didn't cause us too many problems.

The staff were very friendly and both check-in and check-out were problem free.

The hotel is very convenient to the Amway. It was an easy 2 block walk and a 5 minute walk via the skywalk. There are also many restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend the Sundance Grill and One Trick Pony, which is walkable, but easier to travel to by car.

We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard and would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here with a friend and would highly recommend it. Very friendly staff at check-in and check-out. Helpful with directions and recommendations. $11 Parking Charge was a little high and inconvenient, but to be expected at a downtown hotel. Room was clean and recently refurbished. Seemed quiet--no noise to speak of. Clean linens--towels and sheets. Continental Breakfast was just right. Restaurant to be open soon for breakfast. We'll stay here again.
