This museum is must for a kids and adults alike. It is always informative and the price is fair. Enjoy on a rainy weekend or for a great mid-week visit.

This is Grand Rapids' answer to the Smithsonian. It has all sorts of local artifacts, and hosts travelling exhibits. Working exhibits include a carousel, large clock, steam engine, and a reconstruction os an early furniture factory. There is lots of local history and prehistory. This is a good place to visit with younf children, and say hello to the whale skeleton.

Favorite place to go! Great value if you buy an annual membership, you can visit multiple museums across the country for free! (Including the Science and Field Museums in Chicago)! Their exhibits are very well done and some are rotated. We see and learn something new every time we go. Favorite exhibit is the downtown Grand Rapids one. They often have volunteers there in the shops to teach a little extra. Fantastic for all ages! Four stories and a beautiful scenic view of the Grand River and downtown area.

The young man at the front desk was so informative and nice to talk to. The museum itself was very friendly with great displays. We saw Titanic and loved it!

We really loved this museum. It is a beautiful location on the river, an the building is interesting and cool. The exhibits were well done, and we were really moved by the Titanic exhibit. It will be leaving soon, so see it soon!
