While recently visiting Grand Rapids Michigan we visited the Frederik Meijer Gardens and we amazed at the vast expanse of gardens and sculptures...a peaceful oasis in a large city. We were also impressed with the Children's area, a perfect place for young families. Definitely worth visiting!

Definitely take the tram tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate. Some interesting pieces in the sculpture collection.

We enjoyed dinner in the large atrium. Would be a great wedding reception venue.

This was my first time here and I am not a garden guy, but this place was awesome. Remarkable how not a leaf seemed to be out of place, and I could see where all the seasons would be stunning in their own way!

We came here in early fall so I would bet this place is even nicer in the spring. However, the place had plenty to see with all of the sculptures and the Japanese garden was a definite favorite. The children’s garden was very cute with lots of things for kids to interact with. You could definitely spend quite a few hours here. I would recommend good walking shoes because there is a lot of ground to cover.

There gardens were lovely. Be sure to go through the children's garden even if you don't have children. The American Horse was gigantic. The food in the restaurant was tasty. The gift shop had a nice selection. Admission was $14.50.
