“Ideal Location and Comfortable Rooms”
Reviewed December 26, 2011

This hotel is ideally located next to the area shopping mall. There are several restaurants and retailers within walking distance to this hotel. The shopping mall has a movie theater and other national retailers that are sure to have whatever your needs may be. The hotel offers complimentary airport transportation and is located about 10 mins from the airport. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Ideal for families and the business traveler.

Got this hotel for one night only thru Hotwire (I think was around $50 per night) since I was flying out early the following morning. It was a decent hotel that worked out just fine. Everything seemed pretty average but good, clean in general. Has a feel of an old outdated hotel.

This hotel is well used. Our room overlooked the roof of the pool. The pool is dated-but seemed clean. The lobby was well attended and we had friendly service. They were hosting some sort of party in a ballroom both nights we were there and the guests from these parties kind of spilled into the lobby and registration area and were kind of a pain to get around.

Room Tip: I'd pick a room on a higher floor.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and appreciate it's location near the airport, interstates, restaurants and shopping. There is an Old Chicago Pizza located in the hotel with great food and beverages. The rooms are clean and spacious with a great work desk and free wifi. Anytime I have had a problem, the staff has bent over backwards to resolve the situation. The staff is the biggest reason staying there is so enjoyable.

First of all, the rooms are not clean. The jacuzzi tub in our suite not only did not work bu had not been cleaned - it had hairs in it like someone had shaved their legs and let it drain. Also, my husband got locked in the bathroom because the door lock did not work, so maintenance person had to come get him out. We switched rooms thinking that it was just that room that was a disaster, but when we got to our new room, the door lock on the bathroom wasn't even there, it was just a hole in the door. There was mold on the ceiling of the new room. The great water slide is not in operation during the week. And it was shut down after a party of kids were there on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. We left in such a hurry that I forgot two items of clothing that were hung in the closet. I called and went back to the hotel to get them but they said they never found them. Also the rooms are much more expensive than other nicer hotels in the area. The Hampton Inn & Suites, and the Marriott are much more reasonable and have better rooms and service.

Room was nice. Just stayed one night on business trip. Comfortable and clean. Not too far from the interstate. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. Free WYFY.

Nothing was outstanding about this hotel. I booked a "suite" here for my family to stay in for my Dad's 50th birthday, and was neither impressed or disgusted. The suites are nothing more than what used to two separate hotel rooms with a door between the two, with one room containing the bed and the other having an uncomfortable couch / hideaway bed and kitchenette built out of where the bathroom used to be. Because the doors were still there between the rooms it was a challenge with our two small kids to make sure their little fingers didn't get pinched, but it was livable for the time we spent.

The "breakfast" served at the hotel isn't complimentary (even with the suite) and is done by some random guy the hotel had contracted, and is horrible so don't waste your money. It was nice that they had a "UNO" pizza place attached to the hotel and they provided room service.

The "waterpark" is nothing more than just one big slide into a pool (and why we stayed here) - my 2 year old LOVED it but don't go in thinking that it is anything more than just a pool with a 2-story slide attached. The only problem I had with that was that the hours for the slide were limited and it appeared that there were a lot of non-hotel guests taking up the pool making it overly crowded.

With that said, it simply as an average hotel that also had an indoor water slide. The rooms were not overly comfortable, and while they aren't the darkest hotel rooms I've been in they were far from the brightest. It's 2011 and we still had a standard definition, CRT-style television, which I find unacceptable. The internet connection was slow and the WiFi connectivity was spotty so I ended up using my Verizon 4G data stick to be able to connect to the internet. Because of the water slide there are a LOT of kids in the hotel, which a night can be a problem if you are stuck on a floor with kids who's parents don't understand proper hotel etiquette. While those issues certainly don't make a hotel bad, they don't make it better than average.

We stayed for 5 days / 4 nights, which was pushing the boundary of staying too long. If you're taking your family home for a quick 1-2 day stay go for this place if you can get it for less than $100/night you should be fine.

I would NOT recommend this place for business travelers - a majority of my hotel stays are on business without my family and if I had been here for work I would have given the hotel a lower rating.

Room Tip: - Don't pay for the hotel's breakfast - WiFi coverage is spotty so be sure to ask the hotel...
