I went for a Griffins hockey game, and I w.as lucky enough to get front row seats. The atmosphere was amazing. Chants were being made, and everybody cheered when the Griffins scored. There is an attendance of about 4,500, and everyone is in the mood for hockey. This is not your average arena... it's more than that!

I worked all day and was tired but went to hockey game anyway to see the Griffins - so much fun!!! The arena was lovely, clean, and it was easy to find seating. Be sure to attend an event here.

We visited this arena to watch a Grand Rapids Griffins game. Seats are very comfortable and there are drink holders for you to use so drinks don't have to litter the floor. Leg room in the seats are very nice and you didn't feel too crammed. We sat behind the penalty bench about 5 rows up from the glass. Seeing all of the action was a bit difficult at times due to the box but it was fun watching the announcer and the players so close up. Food prices were reasonable and vouchers were actually included in our ticket package. Popcorn was a bit too "buttery" tasting and after awhile just tasted heavy. Our girls got ice cream and they enjoyed it. Temperature and sound was nice while in the arena and we were very happy for our time there. Sadly, the Griffins lost to the San Antonio Rampage but the time was wonderful. Leaving the arena was easy and members of guest services are on hand to assist in any way they can. Conveniently there is a walkway from the arena to area hotels and other attractions. This was a comfortable way to walk above all of the roads, sidewalks and traffic and to stay out of the bitter cold. All areas of our visit from the seats, concourse, stairs and outside perimeter were all spic and span. Very nicely maintained.

Unbelievable service, great food & drinks. Personal service for seating. Staff extremely courteous. Would definitely recommend for a concert but seating is not good in all areas.

Great hockey games and entertainment venue!! Very few bad seats in the house. Reasonably priced hockey games.

Parking options good for now but not looking forward to parking if/when a local construction company starts the 11-story (?) building right (and I mean across the narrow city road to the west) next to their back parking lot but we'll see. Such a building could really change the cityscape for that matter. Hopefully, if at all, it will only partially block the beautiful view of the Van Andel Arena from the expressway.
