Hotel is not secure. There are many outside entrances that are not locked at any time. The one nearest our room did not close on its own. The bottom of the door stuck on the concrete landing. The breakfast food is terrible. It was just frozen bagels from Walmart or Meijer and children's cereals. The shower head was placed so low that it was very difficult to get under it (I'm 6 feet tall) and the water did not drain well so I was standing in 2 inches of water. The management was nice and accommodating. Room was reasonably clean. Small refrigerator in the room was nice. Reasonably close to town and the waterfront, but not within walking distance.

Was in town for a reunion and this place was a dump. No security as the doors elading oputside where wide open at night. There was a wedding party there that kept us up all night even when we called downstairs-guess they were afraid to say anything to them after 3 calls to the front desk. Very filthy and the hallway smelled terrible. Front desk lady was eating a large ice cream carton when we were looking for her at 8:00pm on Saturday night. Seemed upset we found her to ask her simple questions. Would never go back there. Dirty place for $109.00 a night. People were right outside the doors smoking-right next to rooms that were non-smoking! Cleaning ladies seemed nice, but that is sad when they are the highlight of your stay!!

Room Tip: Away from the pool area adn not near outside doors to avoid the smokers. Go elsewhere if you can

I wasn't looking for anything special just a good place to stay. I do not like Days Inns but really enjoyed the one In Clare so I gave this one a try. It was a good nights sleep at a not so expensive price, that's all I needed.

The rooms were clean and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel and the bathroom smelled a bit musty, but it was one of the nicer hotels for the price in the Grand Haven area. I liked that they didn't jack our rate up on July 4th, which so many other hotels do. We could hear the people in the room above us walking around and the walls seemd pretty thin, but we didn't have any wild neighbors so it wasn't a big deal. The breakfast was basic, but suited our needs. The indoor pool was clean and looked very inviting, although we spent most of our time on the beach, which is within 1 1/2 mile driving distance. Parking down on the boardwalk was free pretty much everywhere, so having to get in the car to drive to the beach from the hotel wasn't a terrible inconvenience.

We used this hotel for guests for our wedding. The front staff was very accommodating with the reservations as I must have called about 10 times to make changes. The rooms are clean, but very worn out; but we didn't spend much time in the rooms at all (after all you should be at the BEACH:)) The breakfast was slim pickings, but there is a TIm Horton's right next to the Days Inn.

Overall, great service. I will stay here again.

Room Tip: If you can't walk stairs, request the first floor. There aren't any elevators.

Had a great time at this hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet. Bob was at the front desk, he was polite, very accomodating to me and the family. The family used the pool, which was very clean and well kept.
Bob showed me the extra spots for coffee during the day and was there to help make our stay comfortable

Room 124. We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. I was reluctant because it is a Days Inn, but waited too long to make a reservation elsewhere - but after reading the positive reviews I took the chance. There were no funky smells at all. The room smelled fresh and was clean. The towels were actually soft!! Not too far from the beach/downtown area. I would most definately recommend this one!! Will stay here again when we go back!
