Very informative museum. Lots of exhibits on Michigan's early industries. They also had a special exhibit on the ice age and how it shaped the topography of Michigan.

We dropped in on a whim after having breakfast nearby. The museum is very well done. Local history on the first floor with some interactive exhibits. The upper floor had a special exhibit about the ice age and again, it was well done and had interactive elements. We spent about an hour checking it out. Someone from the museum met us as we entered to welcome us and give us a brief rundown on what we would see and where the elevator was if we needed it. Very friendly atmosphere. There is a donation box, which we used. I was glad to see my 10 year old son - without prompting - walk over and throw in some of his quarters that he brought on the trip. Our kids at 10 and 11 so I clicked family teens but I guess they are tweens.

A great small town museum. Lots of hands on exhibits. For young and old alike. Upstairs had some very worthwhile exhibits. Might want to stop at the donation box on the way out since admission is free.

Very high quality exhibits focusing on the history of Grand Haven and the local area. Operated jointly with the Train Depot Museum just a few blocks away right on the river front. Both are outstanding given their relatively small size. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time.

This small town museum is under used. My two children really enjoyed themselves while remembering lots of history lessons.
