Walk along the channel to our beautiful State Park beach. Don't miss Pronto Pup or Snug Harbor for lunch.
Lighthouse is currently being restored so may be wrapped in plastci

“Nice Lighthouse & Clean Beach”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

Lighthouse livers will delight, nice jetty and clean beach that is raked every morning. Bathrooms and concessions available. Campground is an asphalt parking lot right next to the sand on Lake Michigan. It is jammed packed not my idea of camping. Grand Haven is a nice but expensive tourist town. Coast Guard festival is lots of fun, 1st week of August every year. The state park is a really long beach, no trees no shade. Sand and water here and maybe a freighter.

“Nice beach”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

beach was clean and not crowded when we were there. Tripadvisor wants me to say more but what can I say, it was a beach with no salt and no sharks.

“Can't beat the beach”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Grand Haven has great beaches - I think better than many of the east coast ocean beaches. The sand is clean, the water warm and on days with good waves, you can't beat it. That being said, this one is very busy because of the location.

I do prefer "North Shore" beach - less busy, same sand, good hiking trails up into the dunes and a playground. North Shore is a county park so the fees are less as well. To get there, you need to cross the US 31 draw bridge and go into Ferrysburg.

“Grand Haven State Park - Fantastic”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

An awesome state park/beach to go to. Lots of activity if wanted or just lay around. Nice pavillion with food. Pier/Lighthouse with boardwalk. The boardwalk goes all the way into downtown. Shops/food/bars. Watersports rentals. Nice beach - lots of it. Being on Lake Michigan you can get some good waves to have fun in.
