“Dune hike was incredible”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

This was a very unique hike with incredible views. My wife and I are rather fit and it took us about 50 minutes each way. The sand can get really hot so if you have a nice pair of sandals...like Merrill's or Keene wear them. We went barefoot and we survived but our feet bottoms and toes took a beating from the hot course sand. Also since the hike takes you to lake Michigan you may want to wear a quick dry hiking short so you can swim when you arrive. This is a really good hike but it does take a medium level of fitness to do it. It is a 3.25 mile hike.

“Love it”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Yearly visitors and this is by far our favorite. BEAUTIFUL scenery. Does require some sand dune hiking, which can be strenuous depending on your physical status. Quiet natural beauty with views of the lake await your hiking efforts.
