“No change!”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

I posted a review after staying here last year and thankfully we found it to be just as perfect again. Its good to try new places to stay but why would you when there is somewhere like this. We were made to feel so welcome by the hosts, bedrooms and bathroom very clean and comfortable and the breakfast superb.
Looking forward to another visit next year!

A lovely place to stay-very friendly, a great location (especially if you like running/walking/cycling) and superb food. If you don't need somewhere to stay it is well worth a visit to try the home made scones!

Called in April on a lovely Yorkshire Dales sunny afternoon and all four of us plumped for an afternoon tea. The tea room was busy, and it took a while to arrive, but my goodness what a treat! The highlights were the two savoury tarts, endless tea, very tasty freshly baked fruit scone (it's not difficult - so why do we always end up with frozen reheated scones?) and the home made cakes. We can't recommend this tea room highly enough.

We found this by accident when we were hungry after a walk. We had delicious soup with crusty bread and fantastic bread and butter pudding with maple syrup great combination. We were warmly welcomed even though we were rather muddy! Trouble was we needed another walk afterwards to get rid of the calories

What a great little tea shop. We found it by walking by around lunchtime. Great service, great food, great value. Lovely views over the surrounding dales from the window seats and just the "pitstop" required on our walking route. Definitely worth stopping.

We stayed at the BnB while attending a wedding in Burnsall. This place is full of character and a beautiful mix of old features and new, but in-keeping fixtures. Breakfast in the morning was in the tea room, looking out over the hills. We had a bowlful of gorgeous fresh fruit followed by a hearty fry-up. It's worth it for the eggs alone from the resident hens. The tea room itself was light and airy and seemed busy with locals and cyclists alike.

Our room was super clean and had a beautiful free standing bath in the en suite. The room was spacious and full of magazines and books if you were staying longer than we were. In the hallway there are more books and games to suit every taste. So even if you were staying a few days and had poor weather you'd have plenty to keep you amused. The only slight downside was the curtains on the roof windows, which were a fraction too narrow to keep all of the light out. It was find for us staying in winter, but I did wake earlier than planned due to the light coming through the edges. It's good value for money and we were made very welcome.
