I have found all Hampton Inns to be good places to stay. Some are nicer than others but all are good. My wife and I stayed here on vacation with our granddaughters and had a nice stay. We enjoyed the pool with the kids and would recommend this hotel to anyone Traveling in the Gaylord Mich. area.

I was very pleased with this comfortable room and is by far the best non-resort accommodations in Gaylord area. It surpasses most of the resorts as well regarding the guestroom itself. Of course it is lacking in a spa, restaurant, etc. Would highly recommend over other nearby hotels which I have had the misfortune of sleeping.

Did not have a reservation; hubby walked in asked about a room. Was told they are sold out. I walked in 2 seconds later and room was available. Wifi was horribly slow if it worked at all. Other than that it was typical Hampton fashion. Breakfast area did not have enough seating. People were standing to eat or waiting with food in hand.

Our stay was made miserable by housekeeping's (policy?) setting the thermostat to 52 degrees, so when we checked in, the room was frigid. Front desk staff did not care about the problem or our comfort. We spent a July evening covered in blankets waiting for the room to warm into the 60s. Plus, carpet and furniture were old and outdated. Rooms need upgrades soon. A miserable experience. Not up to Hampton standards.

stayed on june 14 and was a little disappointed. hallways were very noisy as was the traffic on the nearby highway. I realize they can't control rude people who let their doors slam and are very noisy in the hallways but it seems like the gaps at bottom of doors were very large and all noise in hallways came right in to the rooms. not a good hotel for people who are early to bed or sleep lightly. I also think I overpaid for the room at 129.00
