“Small but mighty hotel”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

Just spent the weekend here for a quick mother/daughters get-away and it was wonderful. This hotel is small but mighty. Packs quite a punch in the value and quality department. I traveled with my 4 year old and 7 year old daughters so I really appreciated the evening happy hour appetizers and popcorn (and booze for me, ha ha). The appetizers are not puny - they are very generous in size - almost like the sampler platter at TGI Friday's (mozz sticks, chicken tenders, potato skins, etc.) The breakfast in the morning is fantastic as well! Make-your-own waffles, hot oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, english muffins, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, coffee, juice, milk, etc. All were very tasty!

The front desk staff and breakfast attendants were very kind and professional. The gentleman that worked at the desk Saturday morning 9/28/13 went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. He noticed that my 4 year old spilled her orange juice all over the table where we were sitting at breakfast. I cleaned it up with napkins but it was still sticky so he came over to wipe the table down. My daughter was crying (she felt bad that she spilled the juice everywhere). We were done eating and ready to check out and leave when he stopped us at the front desk and gave my daughter two pink balloons to cheer her up. How cool is that? What a nice thing to do! Now THAT'S what I call customer service.

We stayed in a suite (room 221). It was small but completely updated - everything from newer carpet to nice firm beds, modern bedding, granite looking countertops in the bathroom and separate sink/fridge/microwave area. The room was nice and clean and I liked that the shower head was huge and instead of bottles of shampoo laying everywhere, they use dispensers in the shower filled with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel.

This hotel is in a great location if you want to be near the heart of things on Main St. but not right next to Zehnders. I think Drury Inn is the very last hotel on the strip at the North end? It was nicely located next to a little pharmacy/general store which came in handy when my little one needed medicine for a tummy ache. TIP: If you want to stay more near the Birch Run stores, stick with hotels right off the freeway exit and Dixie Highway. I wasn't interested in BR so I chose downtown FM instead.

Bottom line...WOW. Great little hotel - you can't beat the value.

I don't have much to say about this place other than it was good and served the purpose for what we needed.

Pros:

• Definitely clean.
• Good location for walking to where you need to go.
• Room a bit on the smaller side (king suite)
• free hot breakfast (decent enough)

Cons:

Mattress was super uncomfortable.

The air in the room seemed a bit musty. I chalk it up to poor ventilation/circulation.

Overall:

Not a bad place, but I guess it depends on what you're looking for. It's not high end, and nor is it budget. Just a pretty clean place in a decent location.

And oh, if you're a somewhat health conscious person don't count on the free 'dinner time kickback' - it's all junk and pretty gross in our opinion. (Stale nachos with liquid cheese sauce, hotdogs, etc). It is "free" so can't really complain...

My wife and I spent one night at the Drury, and needless to say we were very impressed. The property is extremely clean and our room was very comfortable and quiet.
Everyone from the front desk clerks to the breakfast room staff were very outgoing and helpful.
The inn is also located just a short distance from downtown, which made for a nice evening of strolling and shopping.
We will stay here again while in Frankenmuth....

This hotel was nice, the beds were very comfortable and the whole place seemed extremely clean, two most important things in a hotel. The morning breakfast bar was good, well stocked with a good number of items, and the evening reception items were also good with plenty of choices. The staff was friendly and helpful, and over all this was a very nice hotel for a relaxing trip. My only small complaint would be the location, it is at the end of the strip, still close enough to walk to the shops, but after being out walking around all day, I could see it being annoying when you just want to get back to your room and relax. I wouldn't say it is that much of an issue that I wouldn't stay there again though.

Stayed one night with a group. Convenient to shops and restaurants, especially Bavarian Inn. Comfortable room and beds. Nice having snacks in the evening and hot breakfast in the morning. Up to Drury Inn standards with that Bavarian look.

This hotel was excellent and we would stay again. Comfy beds, quality rooms, and located by all the town's fun, so you can walk to the shops and restaurants. We appreciated not having to drive, because you get 3 free alcoholic drinks a person, and appetizers.

Plus free breakfast in morning (I'm not usually a big fan of free hot breakfasts at hotels but they had great oatmeal, yogurt and fruit too).

The staff were so nice, every person said hello and was friendly.
