“Best German food outside of Germany”

It's a little on the expensive side but the food was excellent and the decor was really special. This is a really neat place and you will not go away hungry. We opted for the individual meals but you can do family meals. The samplers are simply terrific.

“Fabulous December Wine Dinn”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Just wanted to let everyone know how much our group of 4 as well as my two coworkers enjoyed the December13th Wine Dinner.

The Riesling and Glow Wines were the favorites, but all the wines paired beautifully with the food. Van Tuma's jokes were within good taste and his introductions helpful and the right length.

The food in both taste and presentation stole the show. Each course was both a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Bruschetta was striking plate portrait. Tortellinis sauce rich and yummy. Terry loved the salad. Passion fruit sorbet refreshing. The main course was a huge portion, fork tender, sauce wonderful, and the most high-end comfort food ever. I don't remember BI ever making pecan pie, but it was delicious. I wish the heart of house team came out sooner to get their accolades.

Our service was timely and friendly. We did not interact very much as our friends were talking quite a lot (more as the wine consumed)

Thank you Chef Phil and the Bavarian Inn Restaurant for another great dining experience.

“Simply Don't Do It!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Went today with a party of 6 to the Bavarian Inn and was so very disappointed.

We were seated fairly quickly but were left to wait for about 10 minutes before a waitress came over to take drink orders.

The soft drinks came but the waitress forgot to bring the coffee my grandmother ordered for 25 minutes after that. We reminded her twice and she was quite flippant with us about it, reprimanded my mother for reminding her and still didn't bring it.

After ordering we waited for another 45 minutes before part of our order showed up (by now we had been there for over an hour). We sat around while other tables, some larger and some smaller than ours, were seated and even served appetizers and their meals before ours. Only a part of our order showed up and we had to wait for the rest of our order before we could all eat.

When we received the food, the cheeseburger that my mother ordered was raw in the middle. Not undercooked, completely raw so it had to be sent back preventing her for eating with the rest of our party. When she did received a new burger they didn't bother to put some of the toppings for the burger on the plate so we had to wait for them as well.

The hot chicken sandwich I ordered was cold in the middle and pretty much slopped on the plate with no care. The salad my grandmother ordered had tough chicken and, again, looked like it was prepared by someone who really didn't care. But after waiting and waiting we just wanted to leave.

Overall? The experience was terrible. The theme that ran throughout the meal was hurry up and wait and get attitude about it from the waitress. I'm very doubtful if I'll ever go back. The quality is sad.

I am so sorry for your visit with us. That type of service and food quality is not acceptable by any means. I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person about your visit. We want to follow through with the team that served you and make things right for you to return. Your cooperation is key in making sure that this doesn't happen to any of our guests in the future. Thank you for taking the time and I hope to hear from you soon. Kim Ramirez Hospitality Division Manager

“destination eating”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

The family style dinners are good we eat there several times a year. The chicken is mediocre and sometimes white meat is very dry but the side dishes and breads are excellent.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

If you are a Bavarian Inn Perks member you get a free meal on your birthday at this location. It is delicious. Although there is way to much for one person to possibly eat, you can take leftovers home with you. It is certainly a satasfying meal!
