We stuck with what the Bavarian Inn is famous for... the chicken dinner. We unfortunately, ordered seconds on the chicken and simply gorged. The beer is actually pretty decent as well. But the chicken is the star and couldn't imagine order something else off the menu... I guess not the best place to bring a vegetarian for a meal.

“The Best way to Start the Holiday Season”
Reviewed December 18, 2011

The Bavarian Inn restaurant has been a family tradition since I was a little girl. The food is delicious, particularly the All-you-can-eat family style, and everyone is very welcoming. We visited during Thanksgiving weekend; while it was very busy, the food was excellent. The only drawback was that it was difficult to get our servers attention becuase it was so busy, but that is not unexpected on a holiday weekend. Overall, the visit was very good; better service from our waitress would have made it an excellent visit!!!

“Very, Very good as always!”

If you are looking for a calm and relaxing experience, dine here at the Bavarian Inn. It just so happened on this Saturday that the boiler went down and the reservations were pushed back about an hour. We understood that these things happen with no fault to the Inn, but we were so impressed with how they handled the situation. They scrambled to find seats for all to wait comfortably, keeping us all posted on the progress to our being seated in the dining room, very attentive to the people who were waiting all the while trying to render the problem. We were so impressed. The food is wonderful, and plenty of it! Also a great place for people who need Handicap provisions,( strollers, Wheel chairs, etc. ) A must experience!

“Bring your Visa Card”

The chicken dinner with all the trimmings, extra side plate of chicken liver, the glasses of wine, and the wonderful way old fashion rootbeer was seved, in a beer like bottle. We enjoyed the layed back cantor of dutch garb worn by the entire staff. After dinner, we focused our attention to the downstairs where many shops awaited there customers. We did miss the clocks movement of dutch dancers not coming out when the clock struck the hour. Must be out of order, or closed for the season. Gas prices are 16 cents higher here then for the same time back in Grand Rapids MI. We are going back again in January for the ice and snow festival 2012.

Our family tries to visit Bavarian Inn at least once a year. Our children are adults now and still look forward to our trips to Frankenmuth and our dinner at the Bavarian Inn. The service is excellent, the food is excellent and the overall atmoshere just makes everything so nice. We truly enjoy our visits and look forward to many more trips there!
