A brand new hotel that was built by the wife of a polka musician who passed away in 2005. Each room is dedicated to a year of his life. A little pricey but on a great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful and let us check in at 10:30 am. You get a free hot breakfast included (average) and two free drinks per person (05:00 - 07:00 pm).

If you want a clean quiet hotel....this if for you!
At the far end of town overlooking the river. Frankenmuth is a very quaint little town. We stopped over on a return journey from Chicago to Toronto. Shopped at Birch Run Outlets which we felt was not the best outlet mall.
If you think you are getting a deal having breakfast included in your rate you might want to re-evaluate. Apart from the toast everything else is microwaved....having said that toast, cereal and coffee is enough to get you going in the morning. The evening drinks were okay....Bud light beer and a choice of Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon .....snacks were dried up celery and carrot sticks, chips, pretzels with salsa or blue cheese dip.
Had the best burgers ever at Frankenmuth Brewery, which if you go on a Monday night the burgers are half price....excellent as was the beer!!!

At 170 anight I have lerned to expect more and get more this is nothing but a Durey in poorly run and very expensive for what you get the tv was an old flat screen not an LCD, the room showed lots of wear and the chair was dirty we sat on the towels, just an over priced room to take the tourist for all we were worth It was in a downtown location and we did over look the river but a lot of money for little value no internet in the lobby just not a great value in fact it sucked

Stayed with family for 80th birthday celebration. Had a great time and the hotel was very clean and quiet. Balcony over the water was great. Just wish the weather cooperated a little more.

Called to get the best price and was told over the phone $160 with tax. Ended up callin g 3 days in a row. No one told me the jetted tub was part of the bathroom, not seperate like everwhere else. Also the sign when you drive up said Starting at $79, so the most expensive room would be $99 plus tax not $160. So, tried to talk to a manager and was told one would be ther next day. No where to be found because it was Amanda's day off. So, call the next day to find out she still was not there but could be transfered to the Drury Inn, ( because the same managers work at both places.) I did manage to get the room for $99 plus tax but when I asked 3 times how to go about getting the price on the sign in front of the building, for a future stay. NOTHING!!!! Not worth any amount of money when a hotel is not FAIR or TRUSTWORTHY. NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN IN FRANKENMUTH BEFORE. Someone that manages the city might want to look into this. Because I will never stay at either hotel again!!!!!! I will be sure to let everyone I know about my DISSAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!! How many more people are there that haven't spoke up.

We stayed at the Marv Herzog Hotel after reading the reviews here. The hotel was very clean and within walking distance of many tourists attractions. The underground, sheltered parking was also nice in the 80 degree weather! We will definitely come back to this hotel!

This was our first trip to Frankenmuth, and when we return, we will be staying again at the Marv Herzog Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations. Most rooms have a balcony, as did ours, so we were able to watch the fireworks from the balcony and the parade. The room is large and well appointed, with a rather large bathroom, too. It was quiet there. A couple of the other hotels in the town look geared toward families with little kids, but the Marv Herzog was great for us adult weekend vacationers. It is in walking distance of almost all of the town's major attractions (about a mile or so from Bronner's Christmas store...go there in your car since you will buy a lot!). The morning breakfast buffet (with make it yourself waffles) is available until 10 a.m., which makes it particularly nice if you are having a leisurely morning. Lastly, whether you enjoy polka or not, the collection of Marv Herzog memorabilia is fun to look at in the lobby and in your room.
