“great place but not quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

It was our first time there and I can say that the staff was great. My kids had fun in the water park but after we stayed 15 minutes there, we went to the pools because it was quiet. My kids were terrified and did not want to enter in the pool of water park when they saw an Indian lady enter in the pool with her clothes and not a bathing suit. I think that's not very clean for little kids who love swimming. I think the hotel should have a policy concerning this issue. Another thing I did not like was the noise of some boys playing with a ball until 12:00 am in the hallway. Except for these two issues, I think everything else was great. The hotel was clean and the lady on the front desk was really nice and polite of doing a reservation for my family of 4 at Zehnder's Restaurant. Great place to go.

me and my wifeand children every year in August we go up to Frankenmuth to splash Bay.. the first couple experiences we have were excellent... but I think there's been a bit of poor management there... the rooms are not clean that well for $600 for two nights for ,they should be spotless for that price..waterpark was nice of his love it that's only reason why we went there..and good food.....I hate to say next time we visit frankenmoose it will be in a different motel

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

A group of girlfriends did a girls weekend in Frankenmuth and we stayed at Zehnder's. When my friend said this was the only hotel with availability, I thought ug - kids everywhere. It was memorial day, but we didn't really have any issues with kids. They must have all be in the arcade and splash park, which we weren't. We hung out in our room catching up with each other for awhile and never heard anyone. And at night it was quiet, which was great. Very pleasantly surprised. I did not do the waterpark (7 months pregnant), but some of my friends did and they thought it was a lot of fun.

Upsides of the room - it comfortably fit 6 of us. 4 in 2 queen beds and 2 on the fold out couch. Can't speak for the couch, but the bed was comfy. Balcony was nice, we sat out there for a little while. The room had a mini fridge which was nice. The hotel is not in walking distance to the main downtown area, but it is right next to Bronners and does have a shuttle which goes downtown so that was nice to not have to drive and park down there.

Downsides - One sink. Six women, long line to brush teeth at night and in the morning. Not terrible, but kind of a pain. Only one toilet paper roll in the room. Seriously? Not even a back up one somewhere that we could find. So that was kind of weird. We ran out just as we were packing up to leave so we used tissues, since we were about to leave in five minutes, not worth calling the desk.

Overall very nice and way better than we stayed at Bavarian Inn a couple years ago for the previous girls weekend.

Decided kind of last minute to go to Frankenmuth and stay over night for Memorial Day Weekend. Being it was last minute Splash Village was the only hotel that had any opening within a 20 minute radius and I know why. For one the price was extremely high, $320.00 per night!! Bit the bullet, kids really wanted to go to the Dog Olympics and Hot Air Balloon festival. Checked in around 6:00p to drop off luggage before returning to the festival at 7p. Got to room, with in the 1st 15 min. the toilet, & sink backed up-called front desk sent up maintenance who plunged both and left. Well there was "stuff" left in both sink and toilet from plunging. Called front desk asked for someone to come clean it, also there was hair in the bath tub. Within minutes after hanging up, the fire alarm goes off that scared my 2 yo so bad that he fell hitting his head on the bed. Now we are going down the steps to go outside with everyone else on the floor, me carrying a screaming 2 year old who has an instant goose egg. Waiting outside, hear nothing, see people going in lobby. We go in and the lady behind desk says, "It's a false alarm, they were working on the alarm system." REALLY! you think someone could come outside and tell us!! Left then to go back to festival, returned 1130p that night, to find house keeping never came to clean anything. Had 2 sleeping kids, so didn't call. Big stains on carpet, furniture old and worn with stains. Complained upon check out and got "Sorry you were unhappy". That was it! However, the breakfast buffet was awesome for the price and kids had fun in water park which seemed to be kept up and clean.

We stayed over memorial Day weekend. We had a family suite which was a great size and clean but the beds are the worst! None of us got a good nights sleep because of how uncomfortable they were. The splashtastic food package was a great addition, the breakfast buffet has something for everyone and was good. The pizza was good as well and Zehnder's chicken is the best. The pool area itself is nice but does not keep the attention of the older child. The lifeguards do not keep an eye on the hot tub area and there were kids cannon balling into the hot tub, sitting on the steps preventing people from getting in or getting out and swimming under water hitting your legs, not a relaxing experience in the least. I even asked the pool attendant guy to send over a lifeguard but no one showed up. Overall it was an OK experience but next time we will try somewhere else.

We love splash village and can't wait to return again! The splashtastic package was a great deal and their pizza is excellent! The service was superb and my kids loved every minute of it! They had lots of activities for the kids and we were close to Frankenmuth!

We split a sweet with two other couples for 80's fest. The room and location were great. The only problem was that the noise from the hallway was loud. Screaming kids woke us up way too early, especially after drinking too much at 80's fest. Other then that it was great. Buffet in the morning was awesome.
