What's left to say about Frankenmuth?? This town makes a living on its German heritage and its handy location just off I75 2 hours north of Detroit. The museum explains all the history of the area and after you visit there you can power shop the downtown area and Bronners--the biggest Christmas shop you'll ever see. Then eat at the Bavarian Inn or Zehnders for a true German dinner. Warning!! Try to eat early afternoon and avoid the crowds. Speaking of crowds Frankenmuth is best visited during the week--weekends are a madhouse!!

“Wonderful!”

For such a small town this is a great museum ($2/person) The history of the town from the first Missionaries to Marv Herzog is presnted in the exceptional style of the Science and Industry Museum in Chicago. A Titanic exhibit was showing when we visited, well done.

Always love going to Frankenmuth. Nice shops, good resturants, especially like to visit Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. It's amazing. You have too see it to believe it!!!

A very inexpensive museum. With a couon it was 2 for the 3 of us. There is a few intereactive displays and an audio tour that goes through the history of the area. Currently there is a titanic display there too that was quite interesting. Some of the audio portions were a little long however

It's easy to overlook when visiting. It did have a lot inside as far as historic exhibits.
