My wife and I spent the nights of Dec.23 and 24 in this lodge and we found it to be a quite enjoyable stay. The lodge is interestingly laid out in long rambling corridors just ideal for strolling around wondering what abounds around the next corner. Definitely a family oriented establishment with tons of entertainment for the little ones. Clean and updated and well maintained, each guest room has a name plate on the door of one of the early pioneer families of the Frankenmuth area. I think ours was of the Werth family. A must stay here place when visiting Frankenmuth.
The only downside (hardly worth mentioning) is that the lodge is a little hard to spot when entering downtown from the south as it is across the river through a covered bridge. The Bavarian Lodge restaurant which is right on main street can be easily mis-identified as the actual lodge where one stays. The walls are a little thin, I could hear my neighbour talking next door. (no big deal tho')
