“Ron's Ice Cream is a must have for Flint stones.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

I gave the atmosphere a 5 because of the nostalgia. This place has been here as long as i can remember, and is almost the same, except painted white and minus a few picnic tables. Good ice cream, great pizza if they still serve it, just got ice cream this time. It brings back good childhood memories, maybe thats why I love it so much. So glad Rons is still here.

“The Local Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2012

Every neighborhood needs a local hang-out spot to enjoy an ice cream cone, and in the South Flint, Fenton Rd. corridor, this is the place.

Lots of flavors to choose from. Ice cream is Mooneys or Stroh's brand (none made here). The waffle cones are made on site... yummy!

There are only a couple picnic tables, and one bench under the porch, so when the crowd is busy (most hot summer nights), you will be standing, or eating your ice cream in your car.

Back when the mayor (Walling) was campaigning for office, he bought everyone who showed up a free cone here. To me, this is so much better than running attack ads.

Ron's has been here longer than I've lived in this area, and is one of the few remaining places locals can meet and enjoy some cool treats.
