Just a perfect place for kids. Tons of hands on things to do. They love the grocery store and pizza place to play in. Hidden gem of flint!

We live in the suburbs of Flint and had always thought the area presents very limited opportunities for fun (and safe) things to do for families. We had never been to the Flint Children's Museum, though, and did not have high expectations when we decided to visit the first time in 2009. We were wonderfully surprised by the place. We have been to many children's museums around the state (in Lansing, Albion, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Traverse City) and the Flint Children's Museum ranks as our favorite (along with GR). We have been back many times since and have loved it each and every time.

We spent 2 hours there with the interactive exhibits that our 9 and 2 year olds both loved. Kettering students were conducting science experiments outside that were great.

We visited the children's Museum for a few hours but could have stayed all day. There were interesting exhibits and activities for children from toddlers and up. Even the parents enjoyed it. We have a membership with our local science centre in Ontario and were able to use this membership to get free admission to this museum. That made it even more appealing to visit.

We've been here 3 or 4 times. It's located in a rundown neighborhood but the museum itself is a great place - clean, safe, fun and educational. It's a fairly small building so it can get quite crowded at peak times. There's nowhere to buy food or drink, and there are no restaurants in the close vicinity, so take your own snacks. But overall a great place for the kids. Recommended.
