“First B&B Experience”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

My wife and I enjoyed this large Victorian house in Fennville, MI. This was our first experience with a B&B and from this, it will not be the last. The house is decorated in a Victorian style and each room is slightly different. We stayed 3 nights and each morning, we were treated to a different breakfast each morning by the inn keeper, Sue, is also a professional chef. We had plenty to eat with both hot and cold choices. We were given advice on where to have dinner and each choice was superb. We recommend this B&B to anyone that likes to be a bit off the beaten path and wants to go first class.

This is a wonderful B&B in beautiful, large Victorian house in Fennville, MI, in the heart of Michigan wine country and near Saugatuck and Douglas, two fabulous beach towns. The house and rooms were wonderfully decorated; each room had its own character. The breakfast was the best we had ever had at a B&B -- simple but creative, delicious and satisfying without being heavy. The innkeepers are both professional chefs, so they really know the local food scene, and can give advice on restaurants in the area and can help with reservations, which is a plus in the busy summer season.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Kingsley House B&B for a "babymoon" get-away. It served our needs perfectly-- easy driving access to nearby lake towns, walking distance from downtown Fennville, and a wonderful front porch for us to spend time reading, playing games, and relaxing. Breakfast was very good, and the fresh baked cookies were irresistible each afternoon. The only real draw-back is the location. Since the B&B is on a main road, traffic noise can be heard during the day and night. If I weren't pregnant, I also think we may have wanted to be within walking distance of more places to explore.

The hospitality was excellent. Sue, our inn keeper, was a wonderful host. Her meals were exceptional and 5 star quality. Would recommend this B&B! Would hope to see more specials and/or packages especially in the fall.

My husband and I chose to stay at Kinsley House Bed and Breakfast in Fennville Michigan because we thought it would be more relaxing to stay in a mansion that is away from the shopping and dining areas of the surrounding resort towns. The Kinsley House did not disappoint. It is truly a romantic inn covered in lace and antiques with twinkling lights in the parlour. Guys, if youre wife goes for romance you can't go wrong here. Dave and his staff present a delicious breakfast in the morning that is an elegant relaxing affair. We stayed on the second floor in the Duchess Chambers and it was lovely. Each room has a gas or electric fireplace so cozy is the operative word for this inn. Coffee, tea, cider, hot cocoa and treats are available in the parlour every afternoon. We especially enjoyed being able to open our windows at night to sleep in the cold fresh air. The shower soap was smooth and fragrant and those big bottles were great and easy to use. There is a book in each room on the dresser where you can record your thoughts about the inn too. It was very quiet at night when all the people in Fennville were tucked in their beds and the traffic quit going down the main street. There are three interesting restaurants just down the street in Fennville and a winery so you still feel like your'e somewhere special in Michigan, and you are. We felt very comfortable and right at home with the fantastic service, great food and the most comfortable beds. It was a real treat to spend the night at this romantic inn. Great value for the money and romantic charm.

Room Tip: All the rooms are elegant and romantic but the rooms that aren't in the turret have bigger bathr...

The Kingsley House was magnificent. The hospitality was great and was a very peaceful and relaxing environment all around. I definitely would love to stay there again on our next trip to Saugatuck. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of information on surroundings at hand.
Thanks to Dave and staff for the welcoming visit.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend for our anniversary. We had such an enjoyable stay! The entire house is spotless and beautiful and the décor is absolutely charming! We stayed in the Duchess Chambers, which is in the turret of the house. We were very impressed with the attention to detail, the cleanliness of the room, and the amenities that were available. We were only able to enjoy one breakfast over the weekend but it was very delicious and filling. A big thank you to Dave, the Inkeeper who provided a great visit!

Would definitely recommend to anyone!
