“elegant and cozy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

elegant victorian charm. Each room unique.Innkeeper gracious and very helpful . Great place to spend an anniversary, honeymoon or such. Adult place and also close to Fennville Winery and Cranes Orchard and the Saugatuck area. Plan ahead as this is a popular place. We had the Granny Smith room and it was pretty and cozy. Stayed at Halloween time and the place was decorated to the 10s Any reason and I would be back .

Room Tip: all are nice pick a different one if you go more than once

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kingsley House and the surrounding area. The room, Empire Elite Suite, was roomy, private and spotless. Had a chance to look at the Northern Spy Suite and was impressed with its size and view from the windows in its circular sitting area. The Innkeepers were kind, helpful and genuine. A local restaurant, Salt of the Earth, was a short walk into town and the food was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, and the delicious bread while waiting for dinner was amazing! A return visit to both the Inn and the restaurant is likely!

Room Tip: Empire Elite Suite is roomy with a private entrance.

Loved our stay - everything about our stay was amazing, from the room, to the innkeepers - to the breakfast! I will go back to this Inn every time I visit the area from now on.

Every time my husband and I drove by the Kingsley House, we'd say, "Some day, we have to stay there!" Well, this last weekend, we did it and wow--we were not disappointed. We've stayed in other B&B's in the past, but this one was so much more beautiful than any other place. Plus, the hospitality and little touches were so unexpected and amazing. The breakfasts were just delightful--amazing food and so pretty! The charm of the home and the service was outstanding. We will definitely make intentional plans to stay here again. It was such a great weekend away!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dutchess room, which was in the turret and was just darling. It faced the road, bu...

My wife and I had a pleasant 2 night getaway at Kingsley. The rooms were quiet-we felt like we were the only ones there. The two excellent restaurants that we went to were within walking distance (Salt of the Earth & Fennville Station). The breakfasts and treats were great. We capped off the weekend by going for a bike ride with bikes they provided. It was the most comfortable B & B experience we have had. They also have a nice library of DVDs to choose from.

Room Tip: The Golden Deliciouse was a nice price for a pleasant room (its across the hall from the fridge that...

The house is beautiful, the inn keepers friendly and helpful, the other guests added to the fun. This inn is tiny Fennville. The countryside is lovely. The inn is very close to Lake Michigan and also to Douglas/ Saugatuck. Take the backroads into Douglas and feel like you're lost in time.
We were in the third floor suite with the turret. Online it looked dark, with no windows but in the turret. This actually made for a dark sleeping space and a lovely contrast to the turret, which was like stepping into a fanciful, well decorated tree house.
Breakfast was tasty and the setting is lovely.
We had a Groupon which made all this more affordable. But I think if it was a honeymoon, it would be worth full price.
The front porch needs lemonade and ladies in lawn dresses. We enjoyed the wicker porch swing, and the yard swing in the back. Perfect for quiet reading.

Room Tip: Chose the third floor turret room. It is the most spacious. We had a huge bathroom with giant jett...

My husband and I took a little anniversary jaunt to the west side of our state. We really enjoyed our two days. Terry (and Scott) helped us find the best restaurants-EveryDay Cafe and Fennville Station- and made our stay comfortable, fun and yummy with nice breakfasts and great afternoon treats. The bottle of wine was delicious (red) and so were the chocolates. Thanks so much!

Room Tip: This is a vintage house, so go expecting unique and interesting. Our room was beautiful and I knew a...
