“Charter pilots dream”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

Flew a charter into Escanaba on a Friday night and was directed to this little bar by airport personnel, try the fish was the recommendation and glad I did. Since I was alone I sat at the bar next to a older couple who turned out to be the owners mom and dad, they said try the walleye. I did and had a wonderful piece of lightly breaded moist fish, added a side of homemade potato salad and a order of cole slaw. Friendly, well trained staff, and with tip was out for under $17.00
Can't say thanks enough. Nice view of the lake also.

“Exceptional view, a U.P. bar”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

This place doesn't look like much when you drive by. If it were located anywhere else, it would be considered a standard U.P. bar (or "grandpa bar" as some call them). But here, it is all about the view. From the bar, you have a beautiful view of the lake. In the summer and warm shoulder seasons - there is ample outdoor seating.

The food is actually pretty good. But all and all, just another U.P. bar with one heck of a view.

“A great place with great food at a reasonable price”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Found it by accident driving up from Green Bay. A great little bar with fantastic food at great prices and a beautiful view. Staff is incredibly friendly and willing to pull out a map and show you great places to visit while in the UP of Michigan. They have a "back yard" with horse shoe pit, corn hole game, and patio seating with incredible view of Lake Michigan.

“LOCAL FLAVOR”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

If you are looking to sample some local characters as well as good burgers this is a great choice. Also has a great "porch" with a view of Lake Michigan. Good Service and prices - very earthy atmosphere.

“Great Outdoor Seating (Food & Service) on Lake Michigan!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Wow. The bartender/server/hostess was such a vibrant gem of a young lady. From finding a place to get my cell phone plugged in, to running from bar to outside deck to give us the best service, she couldn't have been any more wonderful than she was.

And the food.....I had the Mediterranean Salad. Delicious and of unexpected high quality (lots of Romaine lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese). My hubby said his BLT was a "10"....the Texas Toast, the right amount of bacon, ripe tomatoes....all good/great.

Prices are very good to almost inexpensive.

And it is THE ONLY place to sit outside and look at Lake Michigan in all of Escanaba.

This is a MUST go in Escanaba.

Just a note: It's very "bar" looking inside....nothing special at all. So don't go for atmosphere (unless you're looking for a small town bar feel)....go for the great food and the view.
