We stayed at Maple Lane for the third time and have decided that it is our "go to" place now. The resort is clean, comfortable, quiet, and best of all... affordable. The Sleeping Bear location is perfect. The staff is courteous and helpful. The row boats, kayaks, and canoe are just a few of the amenities that we enjoy. We look forward to another stay!

We stayed at Maple Lanes about 26 years ago, but we won't wait that long again to go back! The room was nice, and our host was great. The kayaks & canoe were great ways to start each morning of our stay. With the Sleeping Bear Dunes almost in the back yard, all the fantastic restaurant in Empire, Glen Arbor, and Leeland, and a car show on Thursday evening, why go anywhere else. And least I forget, roasting marshmallows around the campfire ever night was a great way to end the days adventures.
Who needs a swimming pool or a 'fitness' center with the beach on Little Glen, and all the wonderful hiking trails in the Dunes!

Room Tip: Might be hard to choose a bad room?

We really enjoyed our stay here. Rick the general manager was always visible and ready to answer any questions. The rooms are on the smaller side but decorated very quaintly and were very clean. The continental breakfast was basically bagel and rolls but we appreciated it and the coffee. The nightly bonfires were great too.The resort has free bikes and kayaks for you to use, both were in excellent shape. This place has a real old fashioned feel to it. We enjoyed our stay and would go back!

We stayed for four nights in July in one of the kitchenette rooms with our two daughters. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make simple dinners (like spaghetti). We loved the homey, comfortable feel of Maple Lane - evening campfires, covered porch outside our room facing the backyard, central gathering area for breakfast. We used the bikes for a 12-mile loop that included the new Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail - such a beautiful ride! We're talking about returning next year with some friends!

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Sleeping Bears Dunes. We had a room with a kitchenette on the second floor that had 1 queen bed and a daybed with a trundle. Room decor was very dated but it was fine otherwise. We didn't cook inside the room but did stock the mini fridge with some food. It was quiet while we were there. We didn't hear neighbors at all but the floor does creak a bit. We took advantage of the kayaks and went out on the lake one afternoon. Had a good time. We saw the bikes but didn't use them. Location was great for visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and nearby Glen Arbor (4 miles away) had shops and restaurants. As mentioned before only stairs to the second floor.

We’ve been going to Maple Lane for seven years. We positively love the area. Sleeping Bear Dunes are incredible. We also tow up a ski boat, moor it in off Maple Lane’s pier, and spend hour after hour on Little and Big Glen. It’s some of the best water in the world.

In that time, we’ve seen some changes for the better at Maple Lane. In some years past, the management was fair. One year our fridge went out for the week and on other occasions the AC didn’t work so well. We came back because we love the location and the atmosphere.

We just got back from a week up at Maple Lane and were very impressed with the state of the facility and the current management. The gentleman running the place is tireless. The rooms are all in good working order and clean. Mattresses are newer and there are new flat screens in each room. The grounds are great and the common area and continental breakfast are all vastly improved.

We were also pleasantly surprised to see that Maple Lane had bikes mountain bikes available for use at no charge. That made for a nice morning trip from Maple Lane into Glen Arbor for some coffee and shopping. They have also added four kayaks and a canoe at the pier. My family made good use of them all. For a family on a budget that’s an awesome way to see the lake and the area.

Next year I’m sure we’ll be back schedules permitting. My three kids are all getting older but Maple Lane is the one spot they all want to go back to year after year.

Room Tip: Consider booking in the upper carriage house. It's got a vaulted ceiling, a nice deck, and has...

We have been regular guests at Maple Lane for the past 7 years. It is a charming family hotel and with the new management we were able to see many great changes. The manager Rick and his wife were extremely helpful and pleasant during our stay. They have added many new features like an inviting campfire site, kayaks for the guests to use and bikes of various sizes. This is a fabulous family location and we can't wait to return next year!!!

Room Tip: Some rooms have kitchenettes and there is also a community kitchen which is great if you want to gri...
