I took my family of four here so we could spend some time exploring the Sleeping Bear sand dunes. It was an ok motel. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee and small donuts. The room looked much larger on the internet. We got a kitchenette with a full size bed, a twin day bed that had another pull-out trundle underneath. When you pulled out the trundle, the room was so tight that all 3 beds were basically lined up next to one another. Underneath the beds was more dust, dirt, and debris than I care to mention. The bathroom was ok, but could use a paint job. It was nice that the kitchenette came with all of the pots, pans, and dishes you would need. The motel's "beach" is about a block or two away and consists of about 25 ft of hard, course, packed sand at a dock in between two private residences.
This motel is a great place to rest between hiking and exploring, but I wouldn't spend a considerable amount of time relaxing in the room.More
