“A Must See on MSU's Campus”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2012

I worked at the Dairy Store for 2 year while in attendance at Michigan State and I can tell you that this is the top ice cream... pretty much in the entire world. The ice cream is made by students and served by students. There are always new flavors entering into the line-up. The Big Ten Flavors are a must!

The prices are very cheap compared to somewhere like a coldstone. Also, the grilled cheese is the best around and super cheap!

BIG TIP: Watch the parking situation at Anthony Hall. Make sure if you park at a meter that you pay for the meter (they are not free on the weekends). There is more free parking along the back so long as it is a weekend and not a special event. The parking tickets are about $25 if you park in the wrong spot so pay attention and you are bound to have a great day!

“Nice little secret on campus”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

Right in the middle of campus, who'd think there'd be an ice cream shop? It's not so secret to locals, as there seems to be constant business there. The Anthony Hall location is open M-F from 9-8, S&S 12-6. The Union location has somewhat shorter hours. Ice cream flavors are named after schools of the Big Ten, and also MSU related items such as Dantonio's Double Fudge Fake (Dantonio is the football coach and often uses trick plays) or Final Four Fudge Dribble (MSU often makes it to basketball's Final Four). A healthy scoop will run $2. Other items for sale are milk, juice, coffee, some salty snacks, etc. There are several tables to sit at, but most people seem to get it to go. I believe the milk needed to make the ice cream comes from cows at MSU's reseach and teaching barns.
