Owner description: MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream.

“MSU Shadows”

A two-time graduate of Michigan State University, living close by, I never tire of visiting campus. The Beal, horticultural and Children's gardens are lovely; the river is scenic, football Saturdays are energizing, and the new Broad Art Museum is fascinating. Broadway, classical and popular music, drama and dance programs abound at the Wharton Center; bike trails wind throughout campus and every season has its beauty on the gorgeous campus. Check out the calendar full of events at the MSU Livestock Pavilion, enjoy the new Science Week demonstrations, participate in Vet-a-Visit with the School of Veterinary Medicine and view the construction for the world-leading Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). There's no end of enjoyment at MSU!

“Park-like campus”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The river running through the campus, the trees, gardens, collegiate architecture....no, it isn't a movie set, its a real campus. Lots of construction right now, but it doesn't obscure the beauty of the children's gardens, butterfly house, Beal and Horticulture gardens, duck feeding, ice cream store. Drive a bit further and see the fields of horses, baby sheep, cattle, student organic farm. If this isn't "your campus" you can claim it anyway.....

“Beautiful campus”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Lots to see and do around the campus - even if there are no sports being played. The Rodeo in the spring is one of the best, by far. The Children's Garden and Botanical garden is great. The Michigan State Museum is awesome.

“A beautiful campus with a great deal of accessibility”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

MSU's campus has many facets. You can stroll near the Red Cedar River, visit the Horticulture Gardens, or stop at Anthony Hall for ice cream in the Dairy Store. The MSU 4-H Children's Garden is wonderful.
