Owner description: MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream.

Maybe because I spent four years hear a while ago, or maybe just because it is a neat place, MSU has a lot to offer the student and visitor as well. I would recommend visiting the circle area of old ivy covered academic buildings. In the center is Beaumont Tower which still chimes. Also in the circle is the MSU Museum which provides free (donation) admission (at least it did when I last visited) with some really neat exhibits (like mastodon bones, vast numbers of butterflies, and other typical museum fare. On the east side of campus is the demonstration gardens which are incredible. These are easy to stroll through during the blooming season. Of course the 4-H Children's Garden is here as well.

The MSU Pavilion (south of the Student's part of campus) has many different events where you might see horse, cattle, rabbit, alpaca, etc. shows.

The campus is definitely worth a visit.

The shows here are the BEST! Abba Mania! West Side Story! Celtic Women! I'm glad it wasn't there when I was a student. I would have gotten no studying done!

The rink was nice. Their basketball facility was amazing. This is definitely not some run down school! Everything looked so well maintained.
