I stayed at the St. Regis Detroit at the end of July and the best part about my stay was the staff! The gentleman who was at the front desk that evening was (cute) BUT, most importantly, very attentive and kind. He asked each day how our day was and if he could do anything for us to make our stay better. Housekeeping staff was courteous, our housekeeper Latoya (I believe that was her name! She was on the 5th floor cleaning) gave us amenities we needed per request since we did not want our room serviced.
The few things I noticed were the smell of the room upon entering, which was stuffy and had an old smell. I suspect this room was just not used in awhile, so it is understandable! My duvet had small, orange stains near the edge, the mini fridge had a small stain inside, and lastly, I noticed several areas that were dusty on the carpet as well as atop surfaces, again, I suspect due to the room not being sold in awhile.
While the design of the lobby is beautiful, the rooms are very outdated! I like the charm, though. I also loved the view of the city we had. It's located in a safe and secure area, while security guards surround the building at night. I would probably stay again due to the price point!More
