Picked this hotel on expedia and got a great deal for this hotel. The location is so/so but had to taxi most places and the parking overnight is $20 which i think should be free at a hotel. The staff who work here are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are small but we just stayed one night here. The only two downsides would have to be is the noise we heard all night, people slamming the doors and taking loudly at 4AM, and the fact that our rooms were extremely hot and the A/C was not working. Overall for the price we paid it was worth it but we would prob. look somewhere else next time to get more for our money.

Room Tip: Stay away from elevator, third floor was noisy and hot

I was happy to read that you noticed our friendly and helpful associates. At the St Regis, we pride ourselves on personal service and it's always heartening to read that our efforts are appreciated.

I apologize for the inconvenience you suffered with a broken air conditioner and can assure you that we have addressed the situation and hope that you can return in the near future to have a much more pleasant stay.

The American Association of Teachers of French had a dinner there that was extraordinary!
Chef Mike Keith cooked an excellent meal and the service was great. Everyone from the valets to the servers were friendly and helpful.

I didn't know what to expect since I have never been to or heard of this hotel. I have to say it was a very nice and I will definitely stay there again! The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The room was fresh, clean and comfortable. The only downside (which WON'T prevent me from staying again) was paying for mandatory valet parking and I was unable to adjust the thermostat as I got a little warm during the night.

I was happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and plan to return.

The Hotel St. Regis was built in 1966 and is a classic in the Detroit area. When it was built, it was the most expensive hotel in the world to build. No expense was spared to create a truly remarkable structure and facility. The current owners are committed to returning it to its' grandeur and our team members strive to provide the best in guest experiences.

We hope to see you again on your next visit to Detroit.

We love this hotel. Every time we come to the Tigers game, this is our #1 choice! Great location, friendly staff, and plenty of room! The price is unbeatable, every time we stay we feel the price is fair and comparable to other hotels in the same area. I know not everyone will agree with the review of the hotel but if you haven't tried this hotel for yourself - do it! We will definitely be back.

Thank you St. Regis Hotel of Detroit for a FANTASTIC first time in Detroit! From the delicious snacks and my FIRST banana martini (made especially for me because it's not on the menu) to the great room to the friendliness of the staff, I had a great stay! My only complaint, if you can actually call it one, is that I specifically asked to be addressed by my first name. The sweet ans wonderful Tammy explained that it is against company policy. I feel that is a bit much...but hey if formality is my only complaint...
I will be sure to stay there EVERY time I visit Detroit and tell ALL my friends and family who head that way!

Getting through USA, we've stopped in poor Detroit, but we found a little jewel in this hotel.
Service very nice, they helped us to get the tickets for the baseball match and were very informative on how to get downtown and what to do in Detroit.
Asolutely reccomended

Stayed at St. Regis in Detroit. Absolutely a spectacular hotel. However, area is decimated by the economy. Surrounding areas in deplorable condition. Buildings are magnificent with the architecture, as is St. Regis. Rooms small, heat doesn't work well, no refrigerator in room. No complimentary water for guests. However, the rooms are very clean and neat. Would recommend staying here. La Musique restaurant in the hotel, is good. Catfish bites are small & salty. Taste more like a pork rind mixture. Otherwise salads and main entree's very good, with great sized portions. Not too much staff around in the days or evenings. The Ford Athletic Center is just down the street. The hotel will reimburse you for the days use. That in itself is great. Large fitness rooms, very warm heated pool, and walking track above the gym.. Many people go there, but isn't crowded when swimming or working out, definite advantage when staying at St. Regis. Stunning hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms extremely quiet. Great views.

While the Detroit area has suffered through some rough times, it is currently in a resurgence with an influx of people moving back to the area. It's exciting to see the new growth and I'm sure you'll notice the improvement with each of your future stays! We're excited to be a part of the new Detroit and look forward to continuing to grow with the area.
