In my opinion, this is the nicest place to stay in downtown Detroit. I've only stayed in one of the three casino hotels and the other two are supposed to be very good but you still have to stay in a casino which means you at least have to walk through the smoke and gambling. The Book is new, clean and the service is good. I happened to get a very good price by shopping online and that helped a lot too. The downtown area has improved greatly and is now safe to walk around. Lots of young people now live and work in the area.
