Built in the 1930s, this tunnel is a quick trip and a marvelous example of industrial engineering. While one gets a lovely view using the Ambassador Bridge, the bridge is SW of the city. The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is a quick downtown-to-downtown connection and a breeze to navigate. You can use Canadian or American money to pay the tolls on either side.
