If you are looking for a great breakfast in Greektown stop at Plaka. They have your normal breakfast items with many specialty type items as well. Friendly staff and great location.

The food and service was great! The prices were more than fair and reasonable. Plaka has a huge menu and is open 24-hours. They serve all the diner classics, plus Greek specialties. When we return to Detroit, Plaka Cafe will be our restaurant.

Value oriented, not fancy but pretty good. Gyro was tasty. Open 24 hours so if you get the munchies late you can still grab a bite.

I decided to try souvlaki and my husband had a gyro. He said it was the best gyro he had ever eaten. The meat was well cooked, no thin puny slices, a solid meal. My souvlaki was delicious (beef) with tender meat and crisp, frest vegetables. Great food!

Complete with coffee that tastes a bit more like dirty water, this place is your classic dive diner. The ambiance was great bu the food left something to be desired. The bacon was over cooked and the hash browns could have been cooked longer and in a thinner patter to get more crunch involved. Given that the hotel breakfast didn't open until 7, this was a perfect option to keep us on time for the early morning meeting. It is one block from Greektown Casion
