I love this gorgeous shop even though for the moment I am not ready for a fancy new bike. This... read more

It's an interesting concept that everything is a local product but branding so many odd things with one name dilutes the idea.

Also aside from some bicycle designs everything else is generic not unique designs.

Lots of clunky watches and everything at bloated prices. Are the leather goods retro design or just old fashion?

Everything is in the eye of the beholder.

More staff than customers makes it an uncomfortable shopping experience.

A beautiful store which also has their own coffee shop included. Shinola seems to push their watches and leather goods here, but bicycles are also sold here, sort of an eclectic sort of shop. There is plenty help and each person seems anxious to answer all questions even if you are only a looker. No free parking, but if you are lucky you can find a place to park on Cess Avenue and just walk around the corner.

We were in Detroit for the weekend and headed to Shinola to check out the flagship store.

Definitely a cool vibe--a small coffee shop and a beautiful showcase for Shinola's hand-made products. The store had a ton of people working, and all were very professional and happy to help.

Nice selection of products, with major emphasis on watches (including a design-your-own station), bicycles, and headphones. The products are all expensive--we laughed at the extension cords that were over $100--but the story behind the products is good, they are beautiful, and there's a sense of pride in the craftsmanship. I appreciated that the staff seemed to view the store as a brand-building exercise: while they were anxious to help, they seemed not to mind at truly browsing the merchandise, and at no point did they apply lots of sales pressure. We bought a couple of beautiful journals for work and for friends.

The neighborhood in which Shinola is located is worth your time--there are some other cool stores and a couple of nice places to grab a drink.

Worth your time while in Detroit!

Stopped in to see what Shinola is all about. The store has an incredibly exciting electric vibe! Beautiful watches along with all sorts of leather goods and gorgeous bikes! We were helped by Salesperson Miles, who made the experience so special. Thank you, Miles! We bought a very attractive men's watch and are so happy with our purchase. Feels great to invest in the the great City of Detroit!

We stopped in to grab some coffee and we're delighted to find some tasty beans here. We sat and read the coffee table book "Lost Detroit" while we drank our lattes. Very warm, welcoming staff and environs. Must do when on Canfield.
