Spacious and well decorated. Good service and friendly staff. The thin crust vegetarian pizza and mushroom pizza were delicious...the mushroom actually the tastier of the two. Reasonable prices. Easy street parking. Clean bathrooms. Recommended.

Since Ottava Via opened this past summer, I have been a number of times and am never disappointed. The service is attentive, the menu varied, the food delicious and well-prepared, the price points reasonable. I love the atmosphere. It is now decorated beautifully for the holidays, and is even more warm and welcoming. Had a friend visiting from Los Angeles, and we stopped in for dinner tonight, and Ottava Via did not disappoint. We both ordered pizza---a vegetarian and a funghi. Really enjoyed our meals. The waiter was very friendly. Easy, close parking on the street (Michigan Avenue). The patio looks inviting, now that the fireplace is built, I look forward to enjoying some time this winter warming myself in front of the fire. Very happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood.

This is a great place to visit before or after your downtown Detroit event. It is across the street from Nemo's and easy access to Nemo's shuttle service to downtown Detroit sporting events. This was my second time dining here. Me and a friend were going to a Red Wings game and had our pre-game dinner here. The truffle butter mushroom pasta was excellent and the portion was the right size. We also shared the 'three ways bruschetta' appetizer. Both the bread and the 3 spreads were very tasty. However, I think that the spreads should be served in a deeper dish to make it easier to get it on the knife. But that small inconvenience is just that....small. It was very good. They had a limited number of beers on tap but the selections were top quality. Service was great, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have made this former bank into a comfortable dining establishment. The seating is not crowded in the main/bar room. The back room is a completely different atmosphere than the main dining room. It has antiques including antique instruments. The kitchen is open to the main room and has a glass case with the cheeses, meat etc. and canned products line the shelves located between the two dining areas giving us a visual connection to the preparation of your meal. Oh, one other thing, the prices are reasonable!

we arrived later on a Wednesday night - not too crowded - sat at the bar. Great service. Started with meat/cheese sampler - very good. sandwiches, pizza, pasta all sounded good - hard to choose. Thanks to Kramer (bartender) for the suggestion - a deconstructed lasagna type pasta dish. Very cool space, nice vibe, good food - i'll be back!

So nice to see an old building being repurposed! Great job on the decor and making it a unique place to go. The menu is somewhat limited--but what we had was very good. We started with the meat and cheese platter and then the four of us had two of the pasta dishes, the shrimp scampi and a pizza. Will definitely be back!
