Went to the Brooklyn for breakfast after a night out watching the great Tigers win on a Miggy walk off! The service was slow but the waitresses apologised profusely. They said they had gotten backed up because owners were out of town and they had not been able to catch up. Things like that happen. The food was worth it. Locally grown food served in the old style authentic cafe atmosphere. Will go again to give them another chance because places like this need to make it in the good old Detroit. Gave service a higher score than earned because of the circumstances and the effort.

A small deli in Corktown area of downtown that serves locally sourced food at a reasonable price, plus you can get poutine without going to Canada.

Poutine EH The Real Deal Now in Detroit

WOW finally someone from Toronto opens a eating spot that plates up the real deal Poutine, many have it on there menu and some come close and a few not. Prior to today Green Stables had the best, now move over to the 2 types of this delicious Canadian comfort food loaded with just the proper size white cheddar curds and gravy. Many places use a small hard shoe string fry and this place goes to the larger size that melts in yo mouth with each and every bite. I've tried the rest and now have found the best now run on down to load up on that Poutine EH

Ate at this inconspicuous place on Michigan Ave at the suggestion of local friends. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the original menu - and their recommendations were very good. We had a short wait for our freshly prepared breakfasts - innovative use of ingredients. DIner was clean and service good. Breakfast for two, with hot beverages $25.

Would I eat here again ? Most definitely
Would i recommend to friends ? Yes
