Booked the hotel for a concert that was at Comerica Park. It was walking distance to Comerica & greektown which was a plus for us. Check in went very fast & the people were very friendly too!. This hotel room was very nice.. just as pictured. The beds were very comfortable. We would & will stay again.

Room Tip: nice updates

Fantastic location for Tiger games at Comerica Park or Lions games at Ford Field. One short block away. Hotel is decent, but plain and nothing all that special. Very small pool in the lower level of the hotel. Purely a location stay.

Greektown is a block away for good food and some old school bars.

I am a native Detroiter who has moved off and stayed here for a weekend visit. I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Not much to offer in the way of good dining or atmosphere inside the hotel. The attitudes of employees ranged from indifferent to smug. We were disappointed because the hotel advertised a pool, which was one of the main purposes of our choice to stay there; but it was not available during our stay due to some kind of maintenance. Parking will cost in addition to your room reservation cost. The hotel is near to most of the theater district, sports arenas, and other attractions. Close to the the downtown train to get around to them

The hotel is ideal for Tigers' games*. Not really sure what else is in Detroit though as it was a flying visit (well a godawful Greyhounding visit). We came from the bus stop and although a fair walk and passing an odd man singing that he was a martian it never felt unsafe. The room was a decent size and well air conditioned. Two double beds at a decent price (although i can't think anywhere is a rip off price in Detroit). Although on a junction the room is quiet.
It's a harsh 3/5.

*Awesome stadium.

Thanks for staying with us and for taking the time to file a review. Next time you are in town, be sure to stop by the front desk and we can give you a few more things to see in the city. The river walk is beautiful all Summer long, and you can cool off at the great beaches on Belle Isle. The Museums and the historic Fox theater in the theater district are a great refuge from the cold if you find your self here in winter months. And if you into Music, catch one of the many music festivals held Downtown, or check out a show at some of Detroit's other top venues.

Sincerely,

David Kipfmiller
General Manager

My wife and I stayed here as we were ending up a cross country motor trip to celebrate our retirement. We wanted a hotel within walking distance of Comerica Park since we had Tigers tickets. The hotel was not only near the baseball game, but also near good restaurants, bars and the riverfront. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The staff was especially helpful from the parking valet to the front desk staff. When I mentioned we were celebrating our retirement, the desk clerk comped 2 buffet breakfasts for us the morning we checked out. I'm sorry I didn't get her name or the name of the valet who recommended a lunch and dinner place within walking distance. We had a very good experience and will return if in Detroit again.

The hotel was fairly nice and clean, but it seemed as if the staff was trying to make my stay as difficult as possible. They seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than dealing with their customers. I would rather stay at a motel 6 in a bad neighborhood than this hotel. I will not be coming back

I would like to thank you for your recent stay, and for taking the time to comment on our hotel. We check our feedback regularly, and take it very seriously. Our staff takes great pride in the service they provide, and I am very disappointed to hear that we failed for you. I will be personally taking this up with the staff and letting them know it is unacceptable.

This hotel was two miles from my business meeting. I could not find the hotel and ended up circling the building several times in a scary looking neighborhood. I was thankful for the valet parking when I found the hotel. At first I did not want to leave the building due to the neighborhood but as the week passed I became more comfortable. And, I started to notice ballparks and other things that would make the hotel a great location. The hotel was nice, rooms were clean and no problem getting a good night's sleep even with a terrible storm the third night. Went to the small restaurant two nights and ordered room service the rest of the nights. Food was good, reasonable price but service a little slow. Friendly and helpful staff. After the scary start this ended up being a great stay.
