I wondered if I had walked into a movie set. Beyond anything I have seen before or will ever see again. I sent photos to friends around the world - all agreed, this landmark theater is stunning and unique.

The restored elaborate decorations are incredible. It is the best example I've seen of a restored old U.S. movie theater dating from the 1920s. Incredibly elaborate decorations cover the walls and ceilings. We had good seats on the floor and could see and hear very well but that might depend on where you sit.

Note that the cab that was in the queue outside the theater did not turn on its meter so the charge was arbitrary. This has happened more than once in Detroit. You have to ask for the fee at the start.

We went here to see a show and it was almost hard to concentrate on the act because the theater was so beautiful. Every square inch was elaborately decorated to perfection. It's a must see.

Love the building and I sat in a box and view was great. I don't like the floor or the balcony it is hard too see when someone taller sits in front of you.

Just visited the Fox Theater in Detroit for the first time Saturday night and all I can say is WOW!!! What a phenomenal facility. Went to see Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull fame and just to be able to see the inside of this place was worth the price of the ticket let alone the fantastic performance. If you ever get a chance to visit this historic building it is a definite must see. The location is great as well. Right in the middle of the Detroit entertainment area.
