Owner description: Home of the Detroit Tigers, this is no ordinary ballpark. Combination theme park, ballpark, and baseball museum, it features huge statues of tigers, a Ferris wheel, carousel (with tigers, of course) and a fountain that celebrates each home run with colored lights and music.

Beautiful views of the city from the seats and a vibrate area of town surround the park. Fun place. I have been there many times and always look forward to going back. Can't wait for the warm weather!

“Fun Ballpark”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Comerica Park in downtown Detroit is a fun summer place to see a baseball game, eat pizza or hot dogs, and enjoy the big-city downtown feeling. After the game, you can hop on the People Mover ($.75 fare)and see or stop by other interesting places -- Joe Louis Arena and the Renaissance Center on the riverfront facing Canada, or Greek Town to pick up a tasty dessert. Then back on the People Mover to where you started.

“Great Stadium”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Okay for all you people who think Detroit is not a safe place have never been here OR you need to know where NOT to go in the City. I've been to many stadiums and/or parks throughout the US and by far Comerica Park is one of my favorites not only because I'm a Detroit fan, but because many stadiums/parks don't have bars, restaurants or casinos near the venue like we have in Detroit. Great tailgate parties, bars, restaurants and of course, Casino's all within walking distance from Comerica Park. There's national chain hotels in the area (Hampton Inn & Courtyard) with a few high end non chain hotels as well (Cadillac Hotel). Trust me, you can stay a weekend and visit Greektown, Casinos, hockey, baseball, football and theater all in walking distance or a cheap cab ride. You don’t go walking around by yourself off the beaten path at midnight or outside the city limits where these venues are so keep that in mind, but that’s true to every major city.
