Owner description: Home of the Detroit Tigers, this is no ordinary ballpark. Combination theme park, ballpark, and baseball museum, it features huge statues of tigers, a Ferris wheel, carousel (with tigers, of course) and a fountain that celebrates each home run with colored lights and music.

It may not be Tiger's Field, but it is one of the friendliest ballparks in the middle of a city you'll ever experience.

“Great American Ballpark!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Comerica is a great ballpark with tons to do and a large selection of food, drinks and beer. Parking is more than sufficient, the place is clean and there isn't a bad seat in the house. GO TIGERS!

“Great time at the Tigers games”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I used to go see the Tigers at the old ball park, I must say how much I love Comerica Park for a venue. Everything was excellent, even the food. Although having the outside smoking area right next to the ambulance staging area with oxygen onboard may not be the brightest idea....
Take the family and have fun!

“Great place to watch a game”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

This may be a little biased as it is our home park, but Comerica park is a great stadium to watch a game. It is a newer stadium and they have tried to bring in some history of the team.

There is really no bad seat in the house, our preference is either the Terrace or Tiger Den seating. Both sections are mostly covered, have padded seats and have more space than the lower sections.

The food selection is ok, they do have some specialty food and local beer but they are not sold at all stands so you do have to seek them out.

I would recommend Leo's Coney Island or if you can, make reservations at the Tiger Club and watch batting practice as you eat.

Now there is some bad, the club stores are consistently higher priced (10 - 20% seems to be average) than the MLB.COM store so I would look and try on items here but buy online. The beer is also pretty expensive.

For parking, park at the CompuWare building and either validate at the Hard Rock or pay $5. It is a little bit of a walk from the park (5 minutes) but it makes it much easier to get out after the game.

All in all a great place to spend a couple of hours during the summer (or fall if the tigers make the playoffs).

“Great place for a ball game.”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Much better than the old Tiger Stadium. Excellent seating; good refreshments, lots to see and do. If you like baseball, you'll love this place. A few small rides for the kids, too.
