If you find yourself in Detroit, definitely check out the RiverFront. It's very beautiful and relaxing. Just take a stroll, and enjoy all that Detroit has to offer along the River.

“Needs something”

I think if we have the river then we can do more with it like Navy Pier in Chicago. More shops, places to eat and things to do.

“Long promenade & beautiful Canadian border.”

Such a wonderful addition to Detroit. Boat rides, attractions for the kids. Need more shade during summer. Summer cafes would help too.

“Worth a stop!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

Had the pleasure of doing part of this walk Memorial Day weekend and was mightily impressed. We picnicked beside the river while watching the many fishermen land silver bass after silver bass. We wondered if they were safe to eat, and found signage by SeaGrant rating the various fish in the river by their safe eating qualities. SIlver bass - so-so. Cat fish - no-no. We also enjoyed seeing the several large freighters steam past us. We explored the Renaissance Center at the end of our walk and treated ourselves to ice cream which we ate while enjoying the expansive view.
