We decided to stay at Greektown at the 4th of July after the Detroit Tigers Game. We absolutely loved it!!! We had a great view of the city and at night you could see the fireworks in surrounding towns. Also we got free breakfasts and 20 back in Casino play, which was nice. The rooms were gorgeous and were very updated!! Nice location to stay as you never have to walk outside to get to the people mover. Only bummer part was there was nothing open in downtown on the 4th of July.

Same experience as another recent review. Loud thumping music that shook the windows of our room did not end until 3AM. Called front desk and they just laughed and said there was nothing they could do about it and that it happens every night. Not a single offer of help! I am sure there was a room on the other side of the hotel that was open at a minimum. They did not even offer a discount on my room like the other reviews.. Bistro 555 service was awful, had to wait 30 minutes for a breakfast table while there were clearly empty and dirty tables waiting. Slot machine printers also very poor as many of the tickets could not be read by the machines so you had to wait in line at a cashier each time you wanted to change a machine. You would think with the economy in Detroit they would treat out of town guests a little better. Never going back, will spend a little extra and stay at the MGM Grand where they take care of their customers.

Went downtown for dinner and the Lions game the same night as the Jay Z, Eminem concert so thought it would be crazy getting checked into the hotel, but the valets were getting the cars in very quickly and the check-in counter had 5 or 6 folks working so that went quick as well. The room was modern with a very comfortable bed and a great view of the city. We were able to walk to Ford Field, Andiamos on the Riverfront, and all over the Greektown area(perfect location). Great little sports bar in the Hotel lobby area as well. Can't wait to get back to Greektown!

My wife and I tried to stay here for a getaway weekend. When we checked in the staff at the frontdesk "forgot" to tell us about the security deposit added to out hotel bill and then forgot to give us vouchers for breakfast. The vouchers for gambling were incomprehensible. But the worst part was that starting at 11 pm a nearby nightclub started blaring music that only got louder through the night. At 1 pm we called down and the desk said there was nothing they could or would do - they were very rude. They gave us half our money back but basically told us to check out. We would never go back and never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Opened the door, and my mouth hit the door. This room was amazing. This hotel is wonderful!!!! I loved it... the rooms were very modern. The bed was so comfortable. The walkin shower was roomy(there were a few pieces of long hair when I got in there). But the view I had of the city of Detroit was breath taking. We were on the 26th floor. You could see everything. My boyfriend and I got a 10.00 of free play at the casino...won $75.00 even better. The mini bar is expensive but that to be excepted. Love that were was a safe in the room. I totally recommend this hotel!!!
